The KGM Torres Family: An SUV for Every Driver, from Gasoline to Electric

KGM has rapidly expanded its flagship SUV lineup, offering gasoline, LPG, hybrid, and all-electric versions, plus a new coupe-style Actyon model.

“If there’s a road, there’s a Torres.” With this slogan, the KGM brand introduces a vehicle with an iconic, powerful, efficient, and robust design. An SUV prepared to take on any challenge. The KGM Torres is one of the South Korean company’s star models, a vehicle where KG Mobility, formerly SsangYong, has applied all its experience and knowledge as a 4×4 vehicle manufacturer.

The Torres SUV arrived on the Spanish market approximately two years ago. Its launch did not go unnoticed, thanks to its extraordinary and practically unbeatable price-to-product ratio. In a short period, it has established itself as one of KGM’s best-selling vehicles across Europe.

The KGM Torres family, an SUV that adapts to everyone

Aware of the “central pillar” role it now plays, KGM has decided to expand the Torres family. The brand has taken less than two years to broaden the Torres range to a point where, today, this SUV suits practically everyone. Gasoline, hybrid, electric, LPG… There are options for every type of driver!

As if these powertrain options were not enough, a new member has joined this growing family: the new KGM Torres Actyon. The first units of the Torres Actyon are already in Spain. This new model has recently debuted in dealerships with its first registrations.

In the KGM Torres family, you will find the SUV that best suits your needs. It has a spacious interior, a huge trunk, the equipment you’ve always wanted, and a competitive price. Considering the available options, this article will review each of the variants that make up the Torres range.

The conventional gasoline engine is the powertrain option with which the Torres debuted on the Spanish market. It is the classic and perfect choice for drivers seeking good performance, great reliability, and an accessible entry price. However, the gasoline Torres also offers the chance to get the prized ECO environmental label from the DGT, with all the mobility advantages that it entails.

The Torres, like most models in the KGM range, offers LPG as an alternative to traditional fuels. The brand allows the Torres to be equipped with bi-fuel technology to use liquefied petroleum gas as fuel in addition to gasoline, thereby qualifying for the ECO label. It is available in both front-wheel drive and 4×4 versions.

KGM Torres HybridEfficiency and versatility along with the ECO label with the new KGM Torres Hybrid

KGM has made its debut in the self-charging hybrid vehicle (HEV) market, and the model chosen to enter this highly competitive category is none other than the Torres. The new KGM Torres Hybrid, which recently went on sale, is one of the latest additions to the growing Torres family.

It is the result of a close collaboration between KGM and BYD and is equipped with latest-generation hybrid technology. It offers extremely high efficiency, capable of running in electric mode in the city up to 94% of the time, all without losing its essence as a capable vehicle away from the city asphalt. Naturally, as a hybrid car, it sports the DGT’s ECO label.

For those who have decided to opt for all-electric mobility, the Torres family also has a suitable variant. The KGM Torres EVX, which has been a surprise for its price-to-product ratio, is the best electric car marketed by the brand to date. The model has received an update to improve its range without affecting its price.

With an 80.6 kWh LFP battery, the upgraded electric Torres has a certified range of over 500 kilometers. And it’s worth noting that this electric SUV also has a commercial variant for professionals: the KGM Torres EVX VAN. It’s a light commercial vehicle with N1 homologation that isn’t afraid of Low Emission Zones (LEZs), offering a cargo capacity of 1.7 cubic meters.

Last but not least, we must discuss the latest member to join the Torres family. The KGM Torres Actyon positions itself as the sportiest and most dynamic alternative. It features a coupe-style design, offering a look that is both more youthful and modern. While pricing for the new Torres Actyon is already known, its online configurator will open soon. It is one of the launches KGM will be carrying out imminently.

It should also be noted that the new Torres Actyon has arrived on the scene with an incomplete powertrain lineup. A hybrid version offering more power and lower fuel consumption will be coming soon. This is a variant that is already on sale in other European countries.
