MG S6 EV Slated for 2026 Spain Debut to Take On Tesla Model Y
The new mid-size electric SUV will arrive with up to 362 hp and a WLTP range of over 500 km.

Just months after its unexpected debut in the United Kingdom, Morris Garage is preparing to bring its new MGS6 EV to continental Europe, targeting a launch in Spain by May 2026.
Positioned as a larger sibling to the MGS5 EV, the new battery-electric vehicle enters the competitive mid-size SUV segment. The MGS6 EV is set to challenge rivals including the BYD Seal U, Leapmotor C10, Xpeng G6, and the popular Tesla Model Y.
The MGS6 EV measures 4.7 meters in length, placing it in the D-SUV category. Its five-seat configuration allows for a spacious 674-liter trunk, which expands to 1,910 liters with the rear seats folded. An additional 124-liter front trunk, or “frunk,” enhances its practicality.
Powering the MGS6 EV is a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery with 74.3 kWh of usable capacity. The Long Range variant uses a single 180 kW (245 hp) motor that drives the rear wheels, producing 350 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and offers a WLTP range of 530 kilometers.
The top-tier Dual Motor model features an all-wheel-drive setup with a combined output of 266 kW (362 hp) and 540 Nm of torque. This version achieves a 0-100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds and has a declared WLTP range of 484 km.
While the UK market receives three trim levels, Spain is expected to get the Trophy Long Range and Trophy Dual Motor versions, potentially under different names. Official pricing for Spain has not been announced, but the entry-level SE Long Range model in the UK starts at £31,245, which is approximately €36,000 at current exchange rates.
